K3 Their's a guy in Calif. on one of the other sites that has a similar car he races on the Salt Flats and if I'm not mistaken he broke Jun's record just this year. Not positive. They run in class "E" . I'll be running in class "C" and open class. We've already wind tunnel tested the car and made some legal body changes to get the drag cofficant down to .31, which means, at 9000 RPM with 2.61:1 gears and 31" MT Salt tires the car should go 318 MPH, but it's going to take 944 HP to do it. In class "C" well run 12# boost and water/alky injection and should be making give or take 100HP 1000HP. In the open class run pure Toluene, Water/alky, set the base timing to 17 degrees and the boost to 20#, and that should put us in the 320 MPH range. I want really bad to make that record.

If you'll notice Jun's car is pretty much a stock body Zed.

yeah i noticed that about the body. they did keep everything pretty much stock except the front end. the hood had to have a hump put in it for the new intake it looks like. and then the areas of inductions was changed to the bottom. does that mean that the z32 is a very aerodynamic design??? so good of a design that it doesnt need to be altered that much for a 250mph race car???

your plan sounds good gringo. plus when your done, you can donate the car to my own personal museum.

whats the difference between classes??? for example: you mentioned they are running in class "E" and you will be running in class "C" and open class.

The designed drag cofficant of a stock Zed32 is .31, and that is low. About the only way to beat it is to go to something like this.

The classes are based on engine displacment.
K3 what's your museum's address? If I don't convert it to a drag machine I just mught just run it in Pro street class, and do alittle street playing. I love to F**k peoples heads up when a old man rips them a new ass. If you talk to people in Baja about drag racing, the'll tell theirs a old man that will rip you a new one. I think its funny

Re: z32TT going 260mph

Yup, .31 is quite low. The new Z rings in a mere .29 in Track form.

I heard somewhere that the Saleen S7 is the most aerodynamic production car in the world. Not sure if I believe it or not. The Saleen site talks tons about how it was tested in the wind tunnel extensively and how it's very aerodynamic and so on, but lists the drag coefficient NO WHERE...not that I can find at least. Site does say that the car could be driven upside down at 160mph...speaking of which, I heard that the F50s SPOILER ALONE could hold the F50 upside down at 200mph. F50...beautiful car to say the least.

Re: z32TT going 260mph

mmmm, the f-50 is on of the most beutiful cars of all time. but what is crazy is with the under-spoilers of the enzo, i have heard that the enzo produces 10 times the amount of downforce as the f-50.

I don't know about 10 times, never read, but that would be over 5,000lbs of down force. The Indy cars have about 1,500#. When your going over 200MPH lots of strange things start to happen, and very quick. The one to watch out for is the new Ford, and Bugatti. Both in test went over 250 MP F**kin H. And the Chrysler ME 4-12 wasn't far behind them.

The Bugatti here comes stock with 1001 HP

This little Chrysler ME 4-12 does some serious numbers, like 0-60 2.9 seconds, 10.6@136 MPH

Re: z32TT going 260mph

1001 hp... damn thats a lot of horses.

200 mph is really fast. I got my lexus up to 90 the other day... my bmw was scarey at high speeds; bad shocks and it needed an alignment.

I've noticed one of the other pic I posted worked then was gone, plus part of my sig isn't there. Maybe because of bandwidth.
I need to ask Wes about this.

Re: z32TT going 260mph

there is one thing i can't stand about the four-twelve, it has to use a quad-turbo v-12 to get 800 hp. i just can't stand how car companies have to use all that forced induction to get high hp outputs, i mean come one, the enzo ferrari with a non-turbo v-12 produces 660 hp.

Re: z32TT going 260mph

I think they do it more by choice than necessity. Ferrari can do whatever the FUCK they want as far as I'm concerned ...major ferrar/porsche/lambo fan...have been my whole life. I wonder why the F40 was TT but not the F50.
