IAT sensor

i was looking on ebay and came across "TypeS Intake Chip Toyota Celica" it says it will at up to 20 hp by altering the fuel/timing curves without having to touch the ecu just plug it in and go. $3.95
.. im thinking gimmick.. what do you guys think about it? also where would the stock IAT sensor be on a 90 celica gt? thanks guys

Re: IAT sensor

eh some peopel say they work most people think ricers buy them...basically they alter your iat sensor (intake air temperature) by making it think the air thats going in is really colder than it really is (the colder the air the denser, the more you can fit in a small space) but it depeats your gas mielage by like 1 or 2 miles per gallon...

Re: IAT sensor

Anything that cheap making such big power increase claims cant be good for your car. I`d stay away from it at all costs.
