Lexus RX300 and Talon
I was coming home from the gym with a buddy and there was a red light. I was in the right lane and right after the light, the road was merging from 3 to 2 lanes. There was a newer red eclipse next to me. I thought I would just speed up a little and pass it but the girl gunned it, probably thinking "you're not getting in front of me" I put it in second and put about 3 cars on the eclipse before merging. It wasn't even a race, I was just speeding up and shifting at 4000 rpms while she was probably flooring it.
Anyway, a few seconds later, a newer Lexus RX300 went by me going 65 in 50. I matched his pace not thinking about racing him. I got another red light and I look over and this guy is looking at me. I nod and so does he, so I just turn my head back to the street. When the light turns green, he floors it and I slowly ease into it because I didn't know if there were any cops at this intersection. All this time, my friend who's sitting next to me is laughing. Once I knew I had traction, I floored it and put at least 6 cars on him by 55. Meanwhile, as I was passing him, I hear someones tires chirping behind him. This Talon merged into my lane but I put about same amount of cars on him as I did with the Lexus. When I slowed down to 50, the talon zoomed by me. I was confused as fuck, was he trying to race us? If he was, he did a piss poor job because he had problems keeping up with an SUV.
After he passed me going about 20 over speed limit, I didn't do anything. It wasn't worth trying to play catch up with this guy. He went into the left turn lane and did a U-turn. I seriously wonder what he was trying to do. If he really wanted to race me, he would have slowed down, but he just zoomed by me 5 seconds after I had put at least 5 cars on him.
I know this wasn't anything big, but I got pissed off once again. Some people just don't know what they're doing. First that WRX guy last week who flashed his hazards long after I had slowed down, and now this guy who zooms by after losing by so much and making a U turn at the next light.
Hopefully I can find someone who knows how to race around here.
