transmission swap for 280zx?

i was just wondering how hard is to swap a transmission for a 280zx turbo (1981) and im going from auto to manual and where would i go to accomplish this?

you want to change a manual to a stick.?> Goold luck.
it can be done, but your looking at some large $$$. it's easy to swap the traney, but to set up for a manual you got to run clutch lines, new mounts, install a clutch peddel,etc. I can tell you how to do it, but if you don't have a lot of car skills then I wouldn't even they this yourself. Go to any place that rebuils or does traneys. It's a long prosess very time consuming. Good idea though.

My suggestion, its cheaper and stronger to build up the AT you have in that car and possible see if there are any other ATs that have better gear ratios that will mate up to your car. Trust me on this one. But if you have your heart set on the swap by all means, you will need ALOT of stuff and the space, time and tools to do it.
