deep or shallow tranny pan?

How do you know if you have a deep or shallow tranny pan? They need to know for the filter.

You didn't state what year. I have a 2001 and a deep pan. But what you need to do is call the dealer and they need to know the VIN # and they will be able to tell you. Just a note, on a 2001 when you pull the filter out, you should also replace the metal rubber seal in the tranny filter housing. This seal should come with the filter. Its a nightmare to get out if you don't have the right tools. I had to borrow a slid weight seal puller from a understanding transmission shop. I do not recommend using a screw driver to pry it out because you can gouge the aluminum housing. Some use a curve pick to work it out. Good luck....
