Need help to purchase an Integra!

First Post! I'm in the market to purchase an Integra (first car)! I have found one to my liking but I need some help from people who know these cars!

It's a 96 Integra Coupe (142 hp I4) with 61000KM (so about 46200 miles) and the asking price is 10900 CAN (8600 US) It's fully loaded, 5spd looks really nice and has leather! It's black on black. The only flaw is that their are scratchs on the back bumper... looks like the previous owner backed into a huge rose bush repeatedly!

I know this is an Integra forum, but i'll ask anyways. I've read review and ratings and the Integra gets top notch every time for every year! So how do you like your integra? Are they easy to fix, repair, fun to drive?! Pros and cons?

Any additional bit of information that you guys have would be very usfull! Thanks in advance!

Edit: oh and it has a sunroof!

Integras are pimpin and u get all the attention from the ladies. If ur out driving on a friday or saturday night, a car full of girls will always holla at you. HELLA fun to drive but its better w/ VTEC As far as easy to fix and repair... just as much as any other car but If you have ur shit worked on professionally like me and are completely anal about the mechanical condition of ur car (i.e. paying attention to even the slightest squeak) it might cost u a lil more than a POS stang to fix.

Hey...yeah thats awesome mileage for a 96 Integra. Iv'e had no problems with my 2000 GSR and I never get tired of it. Black on Black will look awesome. I would say go ahead and buy it. Good luck.

Re: Need help to purchase an Integra!

i have a k20a2 at my friends shop and im working on getting the last of the parts to put it in (axles, radiator...etc) when that motor goes in it should run a 13.0-13.2 all day. right now it just has a stock gsr with aem sri and skunk 2 exhaust, nothing special, low 15's 1/4. also working on getting an '03 gsxr 600. thats where my thirst for speed will really be quenched.

Re: Need help to purchase an Integra!

I say buy it but for 8200 u can find a 98 with around 70k miles on it. well here in the states u can. mine was 8 grand and had 74k miles on it. speaking of which I need to make a kill list o_O. Man LS's arent that slow I cant tell u how many vtecs Ive beaten with just some cheap ass ebay air intake str8 pipe exhaust no back seats and no a/c. Plus my car has a B20 head even though I dont think that does shit.

Re: Need help to purchase an Integra!

oh but I kinda hate my car right now(3 blown tires, fucked up front bumper, fucked up interior and needs a radiator). Right out of the box integras suck shit fo rhandeling. I dont give a fuck what people say Normal integras arent Type R's and they handle like shit. rear end slips out to much. but hell man put on some konis a camber kit and up ur wheel size to 16 inch or 15's with good tires and u will be tuckin. Also the sunroof switch tends to wear out. and integras run abit hot. And are pretty damn unsafe in an accident. But other then that I love my freakin car.

integras handle pretty well in comparison to other cars, type-r or not.

Re: Need help to purchase an Integra!

wait I take that back Ive driven a GSR and wasnt all that impressed, the ford probe Gt tuckd better then it, and also the rear does slide out abit on an integra man, I actually ("drifted") the mother fucker accidently taking an S corner 30mph zone at around 55 or so. this of course was with stock struts and lowering springs, point is they dont handle all that good stock and the turning radious sucks

Re: Need help to purchase an Integra!

mine handles pretty good, maybe just the car that you drove needed some suspension work.
