Australian 4Dr 1990 Civic

I am currently weighing up transplanting either a B16a (1st series) or a B18C into my 4 Door 1990 Civic.

Either way, my car is currently a 92HP 1.5L D15b4 (Dual Carb)

My question is, will i be happy enough with the B16a or am i much better off getting the B18C?

I am aiming for a sleeper and would like a decent power increase in the car. (So a decent amount of power)
(saving for a house, can't warrant $20,000, plus further mods on a 200sx and the insurace incurred, only 22)

Were as civic insurance is next to nothing and they don't care what engine I put in, as long as its engineered.

Thanks for the assistance guys

B18C or B20B (then follow up with the CRVTEC mod)

BTW - the motor is 98bhp

Additionally, for any people in Australia, can you recommend any places to do the swap as well?

Sydney is probably easiest considering I live in Canberra.

Would there be a major difference between the 1.6 and the 1.8?

I've read through the forums and was wondering if the difference was really noticable or not

Croydon Autosport in Sydney will do the swap... but so will Tinkerbell on the Ozhonda forums. Also some guy called Charlie does the swaps out Smithfield/Fairfield way I hear.

Are you familiar with a white 72' datsun 1600 (510) that lives in page with a FJ20DET?
