Australian 4Dr 1990 Civic
I am currently weighing up transplanting either a B16a (1st series) or a B18C into my 4 Door 1990 Civic.
Either way, my car is currently a 92HP 1.5L D15b4 (Dual Carb) My question is, will i be happy enough with the B16a or am i much better off getting the B18C? I am aiming for a sleeper and would like a decent power increase in the car. (So a decent amount of power) (saving for a house, can't warrant $20,000, plus further mods on a 200sx and the insurace incurred, only 22) Were as civic insurance is next to nothing and they don't care what engine I put in, as long as its engineered. Thanks for the assistance guys |

B18C or B20B (then follow up with the CRVTEC mod)
BTW - the motor is 98bhp

Additionally, for any people in Australia, can you recommend any places to do the swap as well?
Sydney is probably easiest considering I live in Canberra. Would there be a major difference between the 1.6 and the 1.8? I've read through the forums and was wondering if the difference was really noticable or not |

Croydon Autosport in Sydney will do the swap... but so will Tinkerbell on the Ozhonda forums. Also some guy called Charlie does the swaps out Smithfield/Fairfield way I hear.

Are you familiar with a white 72' datsun 1600 (510) that lives in page with a FJ20DET?
