Shaving Badges ??'s
I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this question, but has anyone removed the rear badges from their X? I just got my new SE "Extreme" and there is a total of 3 badges in the lower right hand corner that I want to get rid of. My biggest concern is if there are any holes behind the badges for alignment. Removing them is easy. I know the "SE" and "extreme" don't have any holes, but does anyone know if the "Xterra" badg does? Thanks in advance.

I've never seen holes for any of the badges, except for possibly the older Nissan silver logo. The Xterra badge is so thin I can't imagine it being nothing but glue. You can always go at it with a heat gun and dental floss to check.
I know the "Extreme" badge doesn't because the dealer put it there to mark up the price of the truck. |

Re: Shaving Badges ??'s
Well there's only 1 way to find out. And your right, the "extreme" thing is silly. They didn't get anything extra out of me for it! I'll post a reply after I get them off. Thanks

Re: Shaving Badges ??'s
The factory Nissan badges on the rear are all held on with adhesive. Anything added afterwards would definitely be as well, no dealer in their right mind would put holes in a new or used vehicle.
Just heat 'em up with a hair dryer or heat gun and use a tongue depressor or something else that won't scratch to start lifting it off. |
