More horse power but still have warrenty...

Im doing this for a family friend, who doesn't have much time for this kinda stuff between his job and college. He has and 03 mustang cobra and has had it for i think like 1 or 2 years, and he wants more horse power for it. But still wants the warrenty, and ok gas millage. He said that he has like... 1 or 2 grand to work with. But if something is better for a little more, please post it.

So do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks

(P.S. I have no idea where i should have posted this)

i have heard that putting headers on wont add much power. something about the supercharger likes that backpressure.

What in the name of god are you talking about? Long tubes and full exhaust on an otherwise stock 03 cobra and you're talking 40-50 RWHP easily.

I would do a catback, a smaller blower pulley, a tune and a CAI. Headers are quite expensive for mod motors, and very tricky to installer. Nobody is going to void your warranty for a catback, a tune you can put back to stock in 5 minutes if you want warranty work done, same goes for a CAI and a pulley.

rtm's last reply on the page. i guess he was talking about the midpipe instead of the headers, sorry for the mistake. he is an owner of an 04 cobra, but i guess i remembered wrong since i read that a month ago. i have been trying to visit that forum as much as i can to learn even more about mustangs.
