V-Tec
Ok, I realize that is a questions that I should know the answer to, but it is the only question about an RSX I have not been able to answer. The V-Tec, what in the engine switches when this kicks on. In some cars the actual camshaft moves, and in some they switch. What does the honda engine do?

Re: V-Tec
Basic honda vtec consists of a hydraulically actuated/controlled pin used to link adjacent rocker arms, each with different profile cam lobes ("mild" and "wild"). These would normally operate independently, but can now operate as one unit.

Yeah, it uses the oil pressure to sense when you need the extra power and then switches to the faster cam. On the 2005 Odyssey, they're including a feature called VCM(variable cylinder management) that uses VTEC to switch between 3 and 6 cylinders depending on whether you're coasting or accelerating.
