Power Window Motor 88' Accord
Here's my problem.
I bought a used 88' Accord. The power Window motor was not working. I bought an after market motor and installed, but the idiot before me cut the connectors off, so all I have is loose wires. I need to know how to connect the motor to the wires coming from the car. I have six wires coming from the car and four coming from the motor. I know that the WHT/YELLOW coming from the car is hot, but not sure what wire to connect it to on the new motor, if anyone knows PLEASE help. If you need to know all the colors of the wires from the motor and car LMK and I'll post. One last thing. This is a 2-door. It's the driver side window. I've checked the passenger side already but the motor has different color wires so it's no help. I've also checked google, dealer and my Haynes manual but nothing! Thanks guys. |

Re: Power Window Motor 88' Accord
This really isn't the right forum... But all I can tell you is try to go to a junkyard and snatch the plug you need off one of their doors. Then just re-splice the plug in and go from there.

Re: Power Window Motor 88' Accord
Thanks for the reply, but the plug won't really help if I don't know which wires go where.

Re: Power Window Motor 88' Accord
If you cut off the plug from one in the junkyard, you can cut it off with a litle extra wire on it so you can match up the wires and solder them together. Then compare the wires from the aftermarket motor to your stock one and see which wires go where. You could even solder the plug from your stock motor to the aftermarket one if that would help.
