Re: clicking clutch

How loud is the clicking noise? A soft creaking in the clutch can be normal, if it is difficult to hear. A loud clicking noise may indicate a problem--perhaps something to do with an imperfection in the mating surface between the clutch plate and the flywheel.

is it just one click, or many? i believe it may be that little sensor thing, that makes a click when the clutch is pressed almost all the way down? Just a possiblity?

oh, then nevermind, if it was just one click, then i would say it was the sensor, that makes sure you have the clutch depressed, while starting the car. Nevermind then, this isn't my area really.

Re: clicking clutch

When you're driving and you turn the wheel all the way to the left and press in the clutch, does it stick any (as in stay on the floor)? If so, it may not be good.

Re: clicking clutch

I shant say the word, because it has been banished from these forums forever! Naw, just because your clutch clicks doesn't mean it's crankwalk, because there are a good many other things that can cause the clicking noise. However, a clutch that clicks when depressed, and a sticking clutch when making a left turn are symptoms of crankwalk.

Re: clicking clutch

Are you sure this click isn't coming from under the dash? Mine used to do that, but I used the fix that was posted when this question was addressed previously.

Same thing happend to me and i just got my car back with a $4000 bill. listen and see if the clicking noise is comming from the bottom right hand side of your engine. i have seen it 8 times now, all with this same "ticking" or clicking noise. the dreaded CRANKWALk.
