1996b Nissan Pathfinder license plate light

Hi,

I have a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder without the tire carrier. The stock manual and the Haynes Manual for this vehicle does not address the
replacement of license plate bulbs for this vehicle. Both manual provide instructions to replace said bulbs if vehicle has the tire carrier. Any ideas how to change the bulbs?
