others may disagree but replacing the stock crankpulley and harmonic damper is not good..thats there for a reason

thats where i got mine. its 50 bucks for just the crank pulley. i would recommend getting just the crank pulley, especially if you have any form of sound system. the crank and alternator set will yield higher power results (slightly) but it also puts the max battery charging at like 1100 rpm. with the crank pulley it stays at 900rpm. when i put the pulley on my car, i noticed a difference in revving, but not a very large difference in acceleration. its a cheap what to get maybe a couple ponies, but i got better results from just pulling my a/c than from putting the pulley on...

Why is it not a good idea? Can you give us a reason or an experience to validate your statement???

Re: Underdrive Pulleys ?????

I dont have any Personal experience with them, because, as I said I think they are a bad idea..

There are different types of underdrive pulleys.. some are better than others..
A lot of them dont have a harmonic dampner.. This absorbs all the vibration and dampens crankshaft harmonics (hence the name harmonic dampner).. Without the harmonic dampner, the vibrations will not just dissapear, they have to dissapate.. and they'l dissapate through your main bearings.. doesnt sound like a good thing??
