How much does it cost to get a CDL?
I'm trying to get a CDL to be able to drive buses, and box trucks. I'm going to try for it next month, so I need to know how much it is going to cost, and the shortest road test services?

well, that depends. it isn't the license that is expensive its the road test. if you are currently working for a company that has a truck, or what have you, they will most likely let you use it for the test. however, if you aren't, then you have to rent the truck, and that is pretty expensive. btw if you are hoping for next month i hope that you are currently studying. if you arent, then good luck. oh, and when you do go and do the road test, a big part of it is the inspection. the best way to get through that is to pretend you are painting the truck with your hand. go over every single part of the exterior, and do a good job on the engine bay, and think out loud so the instructor knows you are paying attention to every part of the vehicle.

At least some buses have auto transmission, btw I don't know how to drive a stick... it can't be that hard, but trying to hear the engine, pulling the cutch, watching the road, and looking at directions at the same time is going to hard. Do you need a CDL for driving buses, like a Couch, or a school bus?

To drive a school bus you take a 2 week course its really simple.
To get a CDL for driving trucks you can go to a tractor trailer training school its about 2,000$ and takes a few weekends, they give you books to study you take the written and than a road test in their truck, and they have job placement assistance. The CDL test isn't simple you have to study things such as what tire pressure to have in what circumstances and how air brakes function etc etc depending on what license class you go for. Remember trucks have what around 15 gears? So you'd really need to learn how to shift first if your going for a CDL.
