No electrical power at all

Got a 1997 ford fiesta 1250cc 16v 3 door, replaced dead battery with a brand new one, still no power, interior lights or ignition lights. Seems to appear that the new battery is dead. Is there such a thing as a main fuse or relay that might have blown causing the vehicle to appear that the battery is dead? I assume that all new batterys are fully charged from the shops when we purchase them or am I incorrect in thinking so?

Red face

a lot of new batts are pre-charged but you can buy ones that need charging. about the fuse, you will just have to check them all in the fuse box which is either under the bonnet on the left or inside the car next to the steering wheel just on the right. there should be a little plastic tool there for getting them out. and only take 1 out at a time and make sure you putem bak in the right places
