uhhhh...that's interesting. Unless the potential robber really had one arm, I don't think it serves much purpose, other than to frustrate anyone from entering the house (including the home's occupants).

I think it's rather ingenious, 'cept for the groceries thing. Think about it, you got a burglar with a gun...he needs both hands to open the door, therefore, he doesn't have a whole hell of a lot of time to get the gun up before you nail him in the head with the bat...
Lock one, one day, and the other the next day, just keep switching off, some days lock both...hehe
