Re: Ignition Diagram Vision Tsi 1996
Code 43 in the Haynes Book says "Peak Primary circuit current not achieved with the maximum dwell time" This could mean anything from a bad connection at the Coil Pack, Bad Coil Pack, bad Plug Wires, or even possibly a bad PCM (Powertrain Control Module) If you don't have a Haynes Book, get one there is some procedures outlined in it that you can try to diagnose yourself to try and correct the problem without having to go to the dealer. plus there is a schematic. I could go into more details from the book but it would take me forever to type it all out. But if you want to make sure the firing order is right, the plugs on the passenger side are the odd numbered plugs (1, 3, 5 from the front of the Engine) and the Drivers side are the even numbered plugs (2, 4, 6, from the front of the engine) your coil pack should have numbers on each tower to correspond to the cylinder they are firing, there are 3 coils and each fire 2 cylinders, but if there are no numbers by the coil towers then the front coil fires cylinders 3 & 6, the center coil fires 1 & 4, and the back coil fires 5 & 2.
