Pulleys

I just picked up a BBK pulley kit for my 88 GT. My question is once I get off all the bolts and nuts how much do I torque them on the alternator, water pump, and crankshaft. Also whats the easiest way to get the crank pulley off, it seems like a tight squeeze.
Thx for help.

Re: Pulleys

Take off the fan and fan shroud, that should open you up to a lot more room. Also loctite the bolts to the crank pulley.

Re: Pulleys

Whore!!!!!!!!

A 3G upgrade is what people usually do.
http://fordmuscle.com/archives/2001/...e/index2.shtml

I have underdrives on both my cars with no charging problems, but the alt and battery are new on both, so a weakened alt could have adverse effects. At idle mine charges at 11 volts and 14 while driving.

i only got thee two piece set for fear of that same problem stangnut is having then i saw a 3 piece set that claims not to have any charging issues , anyone know if its true or just a gimick? as far as the torque for the alt. i ve always just give the nut a couple quicks zaps with the impact and never had any troubles.

Re: Pulleys

To get the alt pulley off I used a ratchet and a rubber mallet and hit the ratchet attached to the nut until it came loose, took some time but I was determined to get it off.
