recalls?
So I have seen about five other people with the same electrical problem I have post on the astro forum.I also have herd that the problem is a recall on other makes just not the astro.Who do I call or send an email to, to get the astro added to this recall? Is this a pipedream? If it is how about my next questions?
It is a multifunction switch in the stearing colum so I'm guessing that since it has an airbag I can't replace it myself. The part is $225. Does anyone in the seattle area know a good mechanic that would give a free estamate I'm not exactly rich and would like to fix this myself if possible. |

all the air bag means is that you have to be a little more careful, but you can still do it yourself. get the instructions, be careful with the clock spring, and make sure to use alignment marks to make sure everything goes back in exactly as it came out.
if you need anything else just ask good luck |

Re: recalls?
Replaced this in my S10, switch was under $50 at Advance auto parts. Not an easy job by any means and I have the pullers to get to it. Some more of GM's latest headaches.
