AC water in floorboard in of Jeep

Where do I drill a hole to get rid of the water in the floorboard of my 97 jeep grand Cherokee

Don't do that.

There should be some kind of drain hose which allows the condensation water to drain from the evaporator housing directly inside. If its getting on the floor inside, that drain has become loose or blocked.

take a 15/32 drill bit and take the evaporator hose out of the hole and drill the hole by hand and get the gunck out then stick the hose back on problem fixed !!!

I have a 97 jeep grand and I had the same problem. I spent about 400 dollers trying to fix it. I sent it to the dealership and two other ac shops and none of them fixed the problem. I finally gave up on the right way and decided to improvise. I fixed it myself for about 10 dollers. I pulled up the carpet on the passenger side. on the inside of the firewall under the glove compartement is where the drain tube comes out from the ac and goes out the firewall. The problem is that jeep went to a new ac that year and when they put in the drain tube they made it come out in to the frame of the car where you cant get to it to clean it out unless you cut a whole in the frame. under the carpet you will see a black piece of plastic that coveres the drain tube. It is way up under the glovebox. when it is cloged the water overflowes and it drips right from the bottem of that tube in to the carpet. I scraped all of the calking off of the firewall directly under this part. I than took a piece af pvc pipe about an inch thick and cut it in half. the piece was about 5 inches long. than i cut out part of one side so that when i put it up aginst the wall it made a small rain gutter. I silaconed this to the firewall directly under the drain. I slanted the guttertoward the side door. I took a piece of rubber tubing and silaconed it at the bottem of the drain and than ran it down the side wall to a hole that i drilled in the floor. The water still drips from my ac but it drips in to the gutter and right out the hole. The carpet will go right back over it and it wont look any diffrent. You will never know it is there. I did this to my jeep about a year and a half ago and it has worked beautifully. I know it sounds stupid but I spent alot of money trying to fix it the right way and that didnt work. If you cant figure anything else out try this.
