New system?

I was wondering if this is a good setup?

AMP: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/mobile-e...db12dualb.html

SUB : http://www.cardomain.com/item/BOSRT445

I am not looking for anything "mind-blowing" just something to beat my last system, which was Scosche 550w max (dont know the rms) and 1 Sony X 350W rms. Will it be durable or will it die within 6 months?

Also, can I bridge both subs to this amp? The last amp I tried to bridge 2 subs my amp went and stayed in protect mode. If not can anyone tell me of a good amp that I can bridge both safely for under $175?

Re: New system?

One of the guys that made the profile californias is now working for boss...

For subs they absolutely suck. the 3000d will do about 2400 watts though at 1 ohm. Ok, the boss available is trash at that place. I would also avoid bandpass boxes. 2 subs will not work on one amp bridged generally. get a class D amp. 175 will be the cost of an amp alone. You have nothing in your price range sorry. Save up.

Re: New system?

ok, what about these subs?

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4QbE2c6...&avf=N&search=

The $175 is for the amp, not the whole system. The reason I am going with these is I want a cool looking box, but cant find anything but bland boxes. I would build my own but the glass is the part I cant do.

Re: New system?

Do you have to have 2 subs? Plexiglass is kind of stupid IMO. The bandpass box will sound like butt...

My buddy has a set of those. He thinks they are awsome. He asked me what I thought and I nodded my head and agreed. When he left I laughed harder than those subs beat. They sounded like crap. Save your money and buy quality.

http://www.cardomain.com/item/POWOV2820

http://www.cardomain.com/item/POWFBX15

Or is that sub WAY underpowered? If so help me match a sub to that amp.

stop looking at crap, that's a bad sub and a bad amp, just all the other ones you've linked to

visionik, power acoustik, boss, roadmaster, dual, legacy, blah, blah, blah
they're all horrible brands, do yourself a favor and stop looking at them.

give us a budget and let US give YOU recommendations, since obviously you don't know what to look for in audio equipment.

Re: New system?

Yeah sub will be half of what it should be powered at. Since that amp will be running at 4 ohms at 460 this sub would be a perfect match for that amp.

SR20, he may not have the best products picked out but maybe thats all he has to spend right now. But if you have no budget then by all means hook yourself up.
