saturn leaks on passenger mat!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i hope someone will be able to help me. i have a 1995 saturn sL1 and the floor is always soaked. i pulled up the carpet and theres water coming from somewhere but i have no idea where. i think it might be from the rain but how would it be getting inside my car. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks the drip is actuallt coming from underneath the console- maybe the rain drains are clogged or sumthing???

I had the same problem and it was resolved after looking at a thread from Saturnfans.com. I guess this is a common problem for a lot of Saturns.

Re: saturn leaks on passenger mat!!!!!!!!!!!

very common, but several things can cause it. that link gives two of the most common problems. they usilly cause the seat to get wet, the carpet being wet may be that or it may be a few other things. try the link first, if it doesn't help, i'll throw a few others out there. do you have A/C?

saturn ac leak

ok ive found the leak- after taking a bunch of things apart. the leak is definatly coming from the Ac. when the water collects all of it isnt draining out of the hose. i think there might be a crack internally or sumthing but its leaking out around the output of the Ac. any ideas on how to rig it so it wont leak. i was thinking maybe caulk it all up and drill my own hole and run my own tube- bad idea?

Re: saturn leaks on passenger mat!!!!!!!!!!!

the TSB talks about three places that can leak:
1. sealer skip of the "smile" joint
2. sealer skip at the strut towers
3. past the HVAC case seals

from what you say, its #3.
for #3 the TSB says to use "Kent Industries Chek Spray Water Leak Sealer (P/N 50265) or equivalent, spraying seals with two coats."

i would also check the drain hose and the hole for clogs as in this picture, saturn says to use the eraser end of a pencil, i would use pipe cleaner.
