Raced my friend's 1984 Nissan 300ZX and barely edged him out when I hit 80 mph

This one isn't very impressive, but the guy was talking a lot of $hit. He had a 94 prelude si, and I shut him out, with my toasted OEM clutch.

Re: coolest races

My c4 vette, a c5 vette a modded 2004 celica gts (my friend), and an '02-03 cobra. We went from a light on Hammer Lane (it's 4 lanes for about 1/2 mile). It was hella sweet. We raced to the next light. The c5 won easily, with me and the cobra pretty close until 70 mph, then i pulled ahead. It looked like the Celica was about 2-3 cars behind the cobra in my rear view mirror.

Re: coolest races

I found mine in the paper, and i just went to go look at it, and hopefully take it for a test drive if the seller was willing. After about 10 minutes of chatting, she let me take it out if she was in it. I got in it and instantly fell in love. it only had 30k miles, and 12 years old =]

Coolest race I had was a death (honestly) to a 5.0 mustang. People talk alot of shit about those cars, but I admit they have quite a bit of grunt. I launched at a light just for the hell of it (I drive an AWD Subaru SVX-lsl) and was at about 60 on this road when the mustang tails me, pulls up beside me, and proceeds to take me from a 65 mph roll ON THE STREET. Scary as hell, but most fun race Ive had in that car. Driver gave me a thumbs up and pulled away.

Re: coolest races

for which car?

88 ltd crown vic - beat an 01 v6 stang with my buddy driving to school.... kinda funny to hear the roar of a 302 in a boat swing past a new v6 stang... he stopped talking bad about my driving after that..

93 J30t - Probably would have to be a three way with a newer altima 3.5 a maxima 3.5 and myself... At about 50 i was passing the altima and at about 70 i nudged past the maxima (those things are unbelievably fast... took me by suprise) they all gave me a thumbs up and went their own way...

Re: coolest races

Probably would have to be against my friend in his 01 grand am 3.4l. We were driving home from school and we were on a nice open stretch of road so he sped up to about 105. I let him get a little distance on me, then I just passed him. Needless to say, he got really pissed. It seemed even better scenes how he beat me once in the quarter and he had just got his exhaust put on. Not much, but still fun.

Either that or basically just driving fast with a couple friends to school. We never really raced, just drove fast and passed the ricers from school. Lots of fun when they come up to you "Do you have NOS?" Its all good.

Re: coolest races

I geuss the one I liked most was beating a say 96 LT1 trans am from a light, pulled him by about half a car till 3rd gear when he let off. He was pissed he immediately turned off and went roaring down the street.

Also beating a new vw R32 with a cocky ass driver. Recently he said he was not trying but when asked to run for money he declined pretty quickly.

Re: coolest races

I have a Civ (like every other ricer out there) and I raced my dad's 91 3000gt. We were at a massive intersection. Cars were all around at every light. Light turned green and we peeled throught the intersection. I smoked him through the intersection and made him look bad because "HE supposedly missed third gear" HA!!
Any how. At the next ligth we raced again and he blew me away. Still, I rub it in his face that I burned him in front of all those people. So we are
1-1 against each other.
