Do 1989 Civics come with power steering
I just got this car from my sister and I like it already. But im wondering if it have power steering cause its hard to turn

You forgot to mention its a DX (read in your other post). I believe only Si's had power steering. If it does have it the power steering pump will be on the side of the motor where the belts are at, and will say Power Steering Fluid, but I'm betting it doesnt have it.

it will have PS if it's an automatic but not if it's a manual DX

the SI never came with power steering.....the 4drs do....well the ex's and LX's....my 89 LX has it...and its great....my 89 hatch does not have it....neither did my 91 SI....I beleive it was mainly a 4dr option due to the heavier curb weight.

I have two Si's, a 89 and a 90. Niether have power steering.

It was an option on every spec EF in Japan and part of the package on every ED6 hatch in Australia (the only model we got). Doesn't help you much though

Yeah it doesn't have it. I was wonding cause my friends said it did and I couldn't find anywhere to put power steering under the hood.

why would you add powersteering to a car? The only difference I find is when the car is stopped... My 91 Wagon had PS, CRX obviously did not come with it.

My 90 Civic has power steering, it started out as a Auto DX. Must have been a option, most do not have it though.
