98 Ranger 3.0L w/160,00 miles. CEL with code reading PO401 & P1151. The Ford dealer wrote down "PO401 Insufficient EGR Flo DPFE" & "PO1151 Lack of O2 Switching".
I replaced the original EGR about 30,000 miles ago. From reading the archives, it seems like I need to make sure the lines to and from EGR are clean, will do.... Where is the DPFE sensor? What about the P1151 code? They told me it was not the O2 sensor. What should I replace first? Any help is appreciated. Regards, Paul Adam |

Re: 98 Ranger 3.0L w/ PO401 & PO1151 Codes
Your DPFE sensor is located on the front of your intake, probably silver, couple of small hoses going to it, replaced mine last year. Replacement will be black plastic part from Ford, about $70.00. 1151 error, can't tell ya. I have a 0153 to get fixed myself. Hope this helps.
