tracker brakes

bought my daughter a 03 tracker and did not find out until about 6 months later that it had no ABS brakes.

on 5 different occasions the front brakes have locked resulting in skidding.
it always happens when slowing to make a turn onto another road or while entering another hiway , having to yield or stop.

have any of you other tracker owners had this happen?

any ideas as to what to do to fix this problem?

Re: tracker brakes

My daughter drives our 2000 tracker without ABS and reports no problems with front brake lock-up.

My 99 2dr No/ABS dances a little if I slam hard on the brakes, but other than that nope no problem with them locking up. It's a 5spd though so I don't use the brakes as much as an AUTO
