Have you replaced your PCV Valve Lately?

Mine is a 1995 and as you can see, it has had better days.

It rattled like it should BUT it still wasn't functioning 100%.

When it was cold, it worked awesome, but when it warmed up, it would stick.

Cost: $2-$3
Time: 2 Minutes

Having an even and smooth idle........PRICELESS.

Guys, if you PCV valve is more than 3-4 years old, replace it.

BlazerLT, Did you replace the PCV Intake filter at the same time? I thought you said you were going to in another thread. Is the intake filter more for show or does it increase performance?

Rick

Re: Have you replaced your PCV Valve Lately?

I wasn't going to "replace".

I was going to replace the tube going PCV fresh air intake hose from my air to it's own air filter.

Re: Have you replaced your PCV Valve Lately?

Sorry for the vauge question. Did you Remove the stock tube set up and go with the aftermarket filter? How much did that cost you? And again, What do you gain by doing this? I've never really liked the stock set-up and I'm thinking of doing the same thing.

Re: Have you replaced your PCV Valve Lately?

I just talked to a guy and he verified that it isn't really worth the money.

Use the stock setup.
