Best engine swap of 04 SE-R Spec-V

just purchased a 2004 SE-R Spec-V and i need to know the best engine swap for under 3000. i heard sr20det is good and also the sr20de too. which one out of those? or is there a better one besides those?

keep the engine you have dude. its alredy a gret engine to mod, just do some reseach it.get some bolt ons for it ex. intake /exaust /headers /cam /ecu, and if your not happy, turbo that bish!

Don't waste ur time on cai/headers/exhaust if you want serious power get flywheel,clutch, pulleys and turbo that bitch. Also don't forget the nitro.

so the qr25 motor is the best motor for me to keep. do i need to do any internal mods before i turbo it or will the stock parts be ok? what will be the number one best mod for more hp and torque?

You dont need to exchange any internals although new camshafts wouldnt hurt.

if you keep it at low boost you shouldn't need to do internals.

if u go turbo i would upgrade internals cuz the qr25 has weak internals...but u should be fast with bolt ons with no prob..keep that motor and just mod it out..

Theres ppl with some of the bolt ons listed above running 14.3 in older spec v's... stick with the motor you have.. First thing you should do is take it to the track and learn how to drive it and see what it runs stock so you know where your at..
