:flash: still new to the infiniti family
and i wanted to just do some basic, quick, easy modifications first. ride: 2002 G20. if anybody can give me some input i was gonna start with the exterior lighting. Like i said, something quick, cheap, and looks good. H4 for the headlight bulbs right? what's a good bulb that i can get for under $30 not having to pay $80 for a set of PIAAs? and what's a color that I can get away with? what kind of Hyper White bulbs? same goes w/ the Side marker bulb and the rear turn signals. I wanted to do hyper whites all around? Can anybody help a newbie out ? the model numbers for the side markers and rear turn signals? thanks. soon enough I should be up to par wit my G20. slowly but surely :hehehe:

I'll let you know what I'm running, so you get an idea. I currently have Xenon Plazma bulbs in my fogs and clearance (parking lights - bulb no. 168). They were around $30 and work well and haven't melted the harness (yet
). But I picked up some PIAA H3 Yellow Ion Crystals for the fogs from http://www.accessconnect.com/piaaaccess.htm last week. They are cheap, but they charged me $18 for shipping a pair of bulbs (nutso!). The people who have cleared out their corners and tailights run hyperwhite bulbs, however I don't. I run Phillips Silvervision in my corners (#1157) and APC Ambers (will change them) in the tailights (#7443). Rear sidemarker light is bulb no. 194 - and I run PIAA Hyperwhites in the heads. Luke @ www.digitalracer.com sells PIAA bulbs at a resonable price and might be able to cut you some type of deal if you buy all your bulbs from him. I know I left some bulb no's out, but that's because I don't know those hopefully someone can help you out there. I don't know the laws where you live, but anything that doesn't flash amber where it's suppose to (tailights) and corners as well (though it's not as big a deal) - then it's considered illegal. So running hyperwhites in your tailights, corners could get you in trouble.

When I ran Xenon Plazma's in my heads, they were SUPER BLUE - talk a bout a blue tint! LOL. I think they were TOO blue, so if yours are like this, I don't know what kind of bulb would help mimic that color. Maybe you should get some PIAA Superwhites or something like so for your heads and then it will be easier finding wedge bulbs to match that.
Here's a picture of my bulb setup. As you can tell, the color is pretty much the same all around - the clearance bulbs, which are the Xenon Plazma's are somewhat brighter.

Just go to ATTACH FILE when you're posting or if you have it stored on a website, just use the "IMG" function to link to it.

Lol, I see what you mean.
I don't know if you are looking for cheap bulbs, but www.digitalracer.com has lots of different Wedge bulbs - the price isn't listed - so dunno. You might want to look around www.xtremewhite.com or http://www.accessconnect.com/piaaaccess.htm but surely anything you get will be better than that color looks like you have a stock bulb there. Even going for some $25 Xenon's or something at your local import store will do you better than what you have there.About the picture under your name, it's called an avatar. Just go to PROFILE/EDIT OPTIONS and then CHANGE AVATAR right at the bottom it should be. The rest is self explanatory.

I say just put some money into a good pair of PIAA's - they'll last long and look good.
As for the picture, if you have photoshop or paintshop pro, resize the image to the dimensions specified. If you don't know how, feel free to email me - [email protected] and I will do it for you and send it back.

If you put PIAA plasma bulbs in they'll be blue, probably "bluer" than your headlights though. You can only tell up close. They do look real nice on by themselves too.Superwhites might MATCH closer???
If you don't wanna try that, just disconnect your clearance (parking) lights! CIVICtoG20- I used to have cheap cool blue sylvania bulb in- got at P.Boys for $30- they we good for the $$$ -slightly blue in color, you'll have to disconnect clearance bulbs w/ 'em in ![]() Peace! f-bOmb!:smoker2: |
