car buy?

I found a 94 Accord Ex sedan 5spd for $4995 with about 107k miles. the body looks like its in great shape... wondering if I should pick it up? what are good engine swaps for the Accord other than a H22? how would a B18C series work with it?

went to www.kbb.com (Kelley Blue Book) it says retail value $5575 and person to person sale price of $3710 who knows why they are so different go there and check it out. As far as engine swaps you would never want to put in any B series moter as it is smaller than the motor that is in the car(2.2 vs. 1.6-1.8). The H22 is a good swap and there are already many people who have done it so it's not to hard to figure it out. You can also use the K series motors (new accord, RSX...etc) Either the one out of the RSX(K20-2.0liter) or you can get the block from a current I4 accord K24 (2.4liter) and swap the head from an RSX type-s onto it. Any swap is a huge amount of work...although the H22 isn't really that horrible as swaps go...be prepared to not have a running car for a while and to spend $2500-$4000 for just the parts

Also if you are serious about buying it take it to a honda dealer and have them do their inspection on it($75 or so)...you don't want any surprises

Re: car buy?

Run the car's VIN number to see if it's been in any wrecks.
