question bout fuel pump

i changed my alternator and fixed my leak now i am having problems with my car dying out and not getting enough power or what not. i think that it is my fuel pump but i was wondering if there is any way that i might be able to check that on my own. if anyone has anythang let me know thanks

sounds like the same problem im having.. ive been told to check my fuel pressure regulator...

new info.. if you just changed the alternator, your ECU's idling thing might be all messed up. im gettin mine checked out on monday

Well, I know on older nissans(carbureted)you just disconnect the fuel hose and have a buddy crank the engine, with the hose in a bottle to catch the gas. If the fuel comes out consistently it good, if its sparatic or just doesnt work replace the pump.
