Information on 240 plz

OK, I'm bout to turn 16 and I want to buy a 1998 240sx se, standard 2.4L and I was wondering what all do you have to do in order to change the engine to an sr20? Also does the sr20 come with the turbo or do u have to get an upgrade from aftermarket companies? If anyone can answer this it'd be appreciated...........sry im a rookie.

all i can say is search search search, there is alot in swapping an engine, read the faq also it really helps believe it or not, yes the sr20det, does have a turbo, it is a 2.0L hence the 20 after the sr and the d in sr20det means it has a dual overhead cam, and last but not least the t means it is a turbo, gl with your project!

He is totally right there is a WHOLE lot to swapping an engine. We wont all be able to help you on swapping but recommend places to go if you wont be doing the swap yourself
