Re: B20 in CRX

Just as same as puttin any b-series motor in. Except you have to change the intake manifold and replace with the LS. Also ditch the tranny and get the LS or any b-series ...whichever. Easy swap. www.hasport.com check out there kits for b-series swap.

Re: B20 in CRX

yes, i do have the b20 in my car. I LOVE it!!! I'm so glad that no one really knows about this thing. I've yet to lose with it since i've done the header, cat and fpr. I've run numerous b16's in crx's, 5g's, 6g's, etc. I love the torque and power. The header and cat cured my topend problems. I can't believe how fast this car is with just I/H/E. My best guess is im running a 14.2-14.5 with just the intake header and exhaust because when i run my boi sammy who has a 92 civic with fully modded gsr, i take him by half a car. Then he takes me by half a car. He runs a 14.3 in the 1/4. I can smash b16 powered rexes by 3-4 cars! If you go on honda-tech.com, you can search and find that stock b20's with no more than I/H/E are puttin down between 140-150 HP to the wheels with 135-145 ft. lbs./TQ to the wheels. There are a few people runnin this motor and there is one guy with a 5g hatch who runs 14.2-14.4 with just I/H/E...which is heavier than a CRX. People are beginning to assume that these motors are extremely underated from the factory due to the fact that they come equipped with crappy Intake manifolds (most of them), and they come with a small stamped header, as well as a small exhaust and crappy ecu.
Im guessing with my setup I should be puttin' down close to 145 Hp to the wheels with 135 TQ from other peoples dyno's with the same mods.
That's the same if not more HP than a modded b16, and 35 ft/lbs more of torque!!! (which explains the fact of why i jump on b16 rexes by 3-4 cars and still pull on them all the way to the end)
with cams people are puttin 160-170 HP to the wheels with these motors.
Amazing!

BTW...this is basically the same as any b-swap...just run it on a 90-91 ls dizzy and ecu...converting to obd1 would be better tho.
