Re: 91 si seats into a 88 dx

are they civic or crx seats?? civic should be bolt on, and Ive heard crx might require some little mod and elbow-grease to fit right.

alright, time 2 clear something up here, i have an 89 CX, recently got some 90 Si seats, they bolted right in but had to make one tiny bracket for one part, the fronts bolt in fine, and the one by the ebrake bolts in fine, its the one by the door thats a very very tiny bit off.

and i just did this swap about 3 or 4 days ago

I bought two crx seats for my 90 but they don't even come close to fitting. But I'm very curious on how your friend did that? But if they're installed, wouldn't they be a bit high to sit on?

It's maybe 1/2" higher at most i think, I couldn't tell the difference at all. If anything they feel lower, dunno why, maybe it's the seat pan. Just make sure you use grade 8 hardware, you don't want your seats secured with cheap bolts in an accident.

I finally got the seats in yesterday after 7 hours of work and 4 trips to Home Depot. The only thing is after all the measuring was done, I didn't take into account that the two seats are slightly centered to the middle of the car so when I'm driving the steering wheel is actually an inch or two to my left, it's really messed up but screw it, I'm not taking them apart again.
