mx-6 vs 5th gen Prelude

My buddy got an 88 mx6 (non turbo) manual and I got 5th gen base SS. So who do u think will win (from stop and roll)? I had bragged a lot about my car thinking that his mazda is wud be slow but I saw today at some places that they are pretty quick too. He is a decent enuff stickshift driver.

I have a 93 Mx6 4cyl stick and a 2000 Lude auto. Lude kills the 6. And my 01' Passat turbo kills both.

They are similiar. With a really good driver I would give an edge to the MX6 in the 1/4. They should both be around 15.1-15.3 with stock setups. The Prelude REALLY lacks torque down low.

i have a 93 ls mx6 with exh/cold air/ chip, ive killed many preludes, unless the prelude has couple thousand under the hood, v6 mx6 will tear the honda up.

Re: mx-6 vs 5th gen Prelude

As long as the MX6 is stock, the Prelude should win fairly easily.

Re: mx-6 vs 5th gen Prelude

if both of the cars are stuck, they are pretty much the same for the 1/4 miles, like 15.1 vs 15.4 or something, so whoever drives better should win.
i guess the one with better shifting timing will get it.
( or if one of the cars is auto, itll be the one losing)
