I got a 2002 Tahoe LS 5.7. this has not been an ongoing problem. It only happened once. But I am curious if has happened to anyone else.
the other morning the truck started up fine but the fuel gauge was marking empty even the light came on. But the night before it was a half tank. so i turned it off for a minute and turned it back on and it worked. It was giving me the half tank I new I had. Any ideas why it did that???? |

Re: Need some advice.....
I know that there is a sensor in the fuel pump that tells you what the level of the gas is in the tank. It could be the plug isn't plugged all the way into the fuel pump itself. I had this problem and had to drop the tank to see if it was plugged in all the way. Its an easy fix, but can be a pain in the butt to drop the tank.
