taken out by SHO

I was in my 94 RS wiht I/H/E 5 speed and was with 2 friends well, my friend took the v6 mustang back home, and brought out his (i think stock, 91 i think also) taurus SHO 5 speed. well all I can say is thiose are pretty damn fast.

well, we go to this long flat road and we are next to each other and no one is flagging so we dont really get an even start, but I herad him start counting 1-2-3 from his car and we always go right after 3. anyways, at 1 I roled up my window and guessed whrn 3 was, we started taking off even, I hear both cra speeling out(we were just messing around this run) anyways, I gfelt like I had grip, and I got a ju7mp so I figured I had enough grip and stomped it, well, I gues I was stil opeeling out so It just flew up to redline and hit fuel cutoff(OUCH

) right then, he got the jump, I let of the gas a but, got grip and took off aftre him like 1/4th car lenght behind, well, by the time I got into 4th he had a small bit over 1 lenght ahead of me. when it as over, we we to tthe gas station and I made the excuse of fuel cutoof, and he told me he had the window down the whole time, and that doesa make a bigger difference I tyhink, he also had anohter 150 pound guy in his car.

and there is some kid with his 96 civic EX wiht intake thinks hes gonna beat that car. HAHAHA, and the difference between drivers is night and day also.

but in 2 weeks when I got N2O, hell be in for a bgi surprise, Ill let him gain slowly all the way through 2nd, then Il get into 3rd and spray and SMOKE him so bad.

But that car is pretty fast< I just wonder if it was bone dry on the street and he had his windo w up and I didnt hit fuel cutoff and got a perfect launch if Id de further or c;loser to him in the end. I tyihnk Im gonna callenge him again, Ill post results.

andas soon as that civic races me il post how bad he lost (hopefully I dont come back wrong !

cool race.......how many shot nitrous are u planning to get?.....and what company......i've always liked the idea of nitrous but i don't know if i want to get that shit.......

no, mines not the wrx

ive raced the older sho automatic and beat it pretty easily, and the new sho v8 and beat it by like 3 lenghts, but ive never raced a 5 speed, i wonder how id do?

u should be able to take that civic.

i race with my windows down all the time i dont think it really makes a difference. im sure on a car getting like 150-200mph through the 1/4mile it would help to have them up but i only get 90-100mph so i dont think it really matters. that 150lb passenger makes a difference though! every 100lbs is equal to about 1/10th of a second through the quarter, and 1/10th is a bigger gap than a lot of people think it is!

I am sorry but the SHO isn't a very fast car I have smoked tons of those. They are alright for a Tarus even though the engine is made by Yamaha.

heh. and i always laughed at this one for having a "yamaha racing" sticker on the windshield. well now i know.

I think ZEX 55 shot dry. found it for 440 new and al the acessories for like 20% of at least and they are all new.

That will let me win the SHO,

anyways, the windows made a huge diference on my bug when i had it, I was rying to jump it and I know some guy did it by getting to like 105, I knew my bug wasnt that fats but id had it at 91 before, so I got it up to 64 one time, but my windows were down(dont know why i wanted to jump it anywasy, specially with the windows down) but i rolled em uip and got up to 68 the next time, maybe it only made that big of a diff beause I had a whopping 67 HP! LoL

what subaru is it?

yeah there is some guy with yamaha racing all over his ford, i just figured he swapped in a jet ski or motorcycle engine or something....

its a 2002 impreza 2.5ts, which is a 2.5rs wagon but for some reason they wanted to rename it for the new model year so now the wagon is a ts.
