Clear computer codeds for 94/95 SHO
I have a 94 & 95 SHO both needed the O2 Sensors replaced.
I have replaced them but how do I clear the codes from the computer so if the check engine lite comes on again I know that I'm reading new problems and not old ones that have been fixed? Thanx for the help! |

You will know their is a new problem because the CEL will not light unless their is a critical error occuring at that time.
To go ahead an erase the codes instead of waiting for them to naturally fall off after 60 cycles, follow your code reader's instruction for resetting them at the end of the code check. If you went the cheap paper-clip route, there are instructions for doing this on SHOtimes.com Lastly, you could disconnect the battery and turn on your headlamps for 10 minutes, then reconnect the battery. This also dump your fuel map bias, though, so the PCM will take a few days to relearn it's settings. |

Re: Clear computer codeds for 94/95 SHO
Thanks for the info.
I have an EZ-Link code reader but when I follow the instructions to clear the codes it doesn't reset. It still shows the old codes even thought the CEL does not come on any more after replacing the O2 sensors. |
