Mx-6 questions

Ok im a honda guy my self but we bought a 1989 mazda mx-6 lx a while ago for a buck for my mom. Well it has gone through some trouble and weve fixed some things and weve come to the conclusion that the head most likly has a crack in it. My questions are these:

What motors will swap into this?I dont need to go turbo, my mom just needs this thing to get around and probably wouldnt enjoy the gas cost

How difficult are the swaps if there are any?

Is there interest in a 89 mazda mx6 lx with a basicly dead motor? I mean it seems perfect canidate for motor swap, if so how much should i market it for?

Thanks for any help you guys might be able to offer

First of all i'd do a compression test to makes sure it has a cracked head, before spending all that time and money on a engine swap.

here are the 2 engines for the 89 mx6:
L4-2184cc 2.2L SOHC F2
L4-2184cc 2.2L SOHC Turbo F2

I think the 626 used the exact same engine also

Good Luck
