3 inch lift
Simple question, was looking at getting a small lift, probably like 3 inch. That'd still look good with stock my current wheels right.
Or anyone have suggestions as to what would/could look better as far as lift and wheels? I just want a simple enhancement. |

Re: 3 inch lift
Recommend a 3" lift from super lifts or the 2" rubicon express lift. Both are good for "enhancement" , 2" at least 30's, a 3" lift will fit 31"s that will fit on your stock rims. These lifts are fairly simple and can be done in the driveway with a good set of common tools. I installed the 2" in my 00XJ, just needed to buy spring compressors. With the 2" lift I have moderate slearance, but find myself longing for something a little higher. Anything above a 3" lift you start running into more complex systems and mods.

Re: 3 inch lift
Chase, never do a lift without jack stands. They are a great investment and save your butt.I did my CJ5 in the driveway and it was nice easy and above all safe.A set can run from 20-35 dollars which is cheaper than a hospital visit.

Re: 3 inch lift
You bet buddy, but now comes the decision....do you want the stands to go from 12"to a 18 inch exteded height or some start at 20" and extend to 28" or whatever is on hand at the store you purchase them.I actually have two sets one set extends to 18" and a mongo pair that extend to 30" and are not used all that much but are there when needed. Both sets are of cast metal and very sturdy.

The Rubicon Express budget boost would be a good option for his jeep. A nice set of 30" bfg All Terrains, in my opinion, would compliment that suspension choice best. It would be a nice, mild, functional rig.
