Filter for?

Ok..here's a strange question. I was just looking under my car after a routine oil change. I was wondering what this "fuel" looking filter was on the drivers side. It looks like it is connected to the power steering pump? Does this car have a power steering fluid filter? Just curious if anyone ever changed this before or knows what this filter is for. Thanks everyone.
