Automatic Transmition Question
I've got 99 grand am v6 automatic.
I took it in for an oil change last week and I asked the mechanic to do a transmition oil change, once the car is over 115Km and I've never done it. He told me that it's not needed, because the factory oil is a syntetic oil and doesn't need service done unless there is a problem with it. Anyone who has some sort of knowledge about this, please let me know if this is true or is BS. Thanks |

Do it. My manual for my 2003 GA says to do it every 50,000 miles. Its worth spending some money to make sure that your car will last as long as possible.
