Electric fan not working.
I've tried searching but couldn't find any info.
The electric fan on my 94 3.2L is not working. It will work if I apply power directly. I understand there is a relay somewhere but I can't find it. Chasing wires is problematic since they disappear into large wrapped bundles. Can anyone tell me where to look for the relay? It's not in the engine bay fuse/relay box and I can't find any other relays under the hood. |

Have you checked the resistor block?

Resistor block? Is it that little square thing right next to the fan? I thought that was a noise suppresor.

No one else has any info on this problem? I found an old thread about it but there wasn't a solution posted.

No,no,no. I'm talking about the electric radiator fan, not the heater blower motor. |

Re: Electric fan not working.
I have the exact same problem with my 96 Rodeo. I have yet to remedy the problem for the same reasons that you have already stated. Any help here would be appreciated. I'll let you know if I find something.

I was just a little bit low on coolant. Added about a half gallon and everything is good.
Go figger.

Mine was also a half gallon low, but the fan still doesn't seem to be working after topping it off. I'm guessing that maybe it is the sensor. Now I just have to find it and test it. Thanks for your prompt reply. |
