1995 Neon that stalls at lights

I have a 1995 dodge Neon that will stall out when you stop at a traffic light. I doesnt happen every time it only happens once every couple days. Seems to happen aftter about 1 hour of driving. No codes just a battery light that comes on every time this happens. If the car is let to sit for a couple minutes its starts and drives fine and wont happen for the next couple days and the battery light goes out.ANY IDEAS ? Seems like its Electrical

Re: 1995 Neon that stalls at lights

If you mean the battery light comes on while the engine is running and then you stall, I would say that the battery could be old or the alternator is discharging your battery causing the stall. You could check out the latter using a volt meter. It should be charging at 13.5-14 volts.
If you meant the battery light comes on after the stall, then that would be normal. In this case, I would tune the car up to include replacing the distributor cap, rotor, and spark plugs.
