In Progress: Nissan 350Z

My first modelled car. Assisted by my bf.

Sanded the mold lines, and sprayed with Grey Primer.

Sprayed White Primer.

My first try at a Mist Coat.

First Wet Coat.

I was looking at the model, thinking nice job on laying down the primer, looks nice and even, when I got to the bottom and looked at the puppy holding the phone. Superb..

Nissan 350Z are cool cars. The Tamiya model is a great kit, but the under chassis is over simplfied. It's all molded to the bottom, means you have to mask off a lot to get the detail looking good.

Good luck with your build, silver is a good choice for this car.

Thanks!! I actually had some help in spraying the primer since it's my first time.

I'll take extra care when doing the under chassis! Thanks for your advise! And yea, silver's my favourite colour for this car.

Btw, glad you think the puppy's cute.

He actually helped me out here and there since it's my first try and it really wouldn't have looked this even without him. :P

Thanks for the encouragement though!

Is that the same Mr. Surfacer can that held the Beetle that's floating around here?

Good work so far.
