Thumbs up Good Place For Jdm Parts

I was lookung for a good place to do a swap into my integra and was wondering if anyone had heard of this place. WWW.AEROHEADACCESSORIES.COM
they have very good prices and even sell Mugen parts but i was just looking for some input on what you guys thought. They seem to be okay and have good prices (only $1250 for a b16 swap) but i dont want to waste my money so please give me your inout.

Re: Good Place For Jdm Parts

I don't know man, I wouldn't trust them personally. There are too many ripoff sites that sell motors nad just steal your $ of send you a junk engine.
And from their website: "89-91 Honda Performance Engine Package B16A1-VTech-1st Gen 1.6L 4 Cyl Engine + Cable Type Transmission + ECU: $1800"... VTech huh. Seems to me that a company selling Honda engines would know how to spell vtec correctly since it's on a most Honda motors they sell say VTEC on the valve covers.
If I were you I'd go to passwordjdm.com or hmotorsonline.com for the motor and some accessories and JDMshit.com or JHPUSA.com for JDM parts.

Re: Good Place For Jdm Parts

Ummm... you have a 94 integra right (that's what your profile says anyways). So if you do then you're going to want to get the 2nd gen motor with hydralic tranny, or you'll have to buy the cable to hydralic tranny conversion if you get the 1st gen with cable tranny. I don't know man I haven't seen many sites that include the whole harness, but you shouldn't need it anyways if you have a GSR and if you have an LS stock then you just have to wire for vtec. And I've never seen an add-on of LSD for $50 before, nor do I see it on their site either. I see it for $300 more. And the swap doesn't come with axles, shiftlinkage and mounts either, you'd have to pay $175 extra for that, where hmotorsonline sells it with the swap.
Personally I've never heard anything but good reviews about hmotorsonline.com before. I just wouldn't go with a company that no one's ever heard of before just to save a little $$$ when you're possibly going to have some problems wit hthe engine. That's just my opinion.

I was going to get the type R swap, i just used the b16 as an example. And when i spoke to he saled guy he said that he would cut me a break if I buy everything like the axels and what not and the LSD. I didnt mean the LSD was only $50 but $50 less. And I am still deciding what i want to do. The Aerohead place said they are pretty new to the internet but have had no problems that they couldnt resolve, so i dont know what to do yet.

Re: Good Place For Jdm Parts

Passwordjdm. com has the cheapest price I've seen for the Integra Type R swap; $3999 https://passwordjdm.com/index.php?pa...d3e20c1935849d
Where Aerohead is $4525 with discount (I'm assuming if I understood you correctly). And I think mellowboy is right about the LSD, so if they make you pay extra for it then it sounds like a rip off.
But I'm not trying to push you to go with another site, just read about too many people getting ripped off by new up and coming businesses. Some of which are companies that were called another name before people started complaing about being ripped off (not saying that's the case with this company but you never can be too careful when spending that much $).

I should get it soon and i will keep you updated on if it was any good or not. Thanks to everyone who has added their input in this post.

I got my motor already and it is great, as far as i can tell, i havent started it but all the compression tested great and its very clean. i hope to have it on the road soon. I think these guys were a great choice,it was wrapped and packaged exellent, they answered all of my ?s and even followed up after delivery to make sure it all came good and it was what i expected. Id recommend these guys to anyone.

we used the wrench for the original comp test when it arrived and when it was installed we did a second and we just did it just by removing the dizzy ground wire.
