sticking gas pedal

Ive found another QX that has the same problem as me. Usually at an idle or a stop. the gas pedal will stick.. You have to apply more pressure to release than it'll throw ya back.. It really isnt safe.. especially when you are behind someone or in reverse.. Is this a factory defect or is something wrong with my baby. let me know

My dads 00' QX4 has the same problem. we noticed it when we were in florida. we originally thought it was a sticky cable so we tried some wd40 and it got rid of the problem but only for it to come back an hour later! piss me off! it comes and goes but we have yet to find a permenant fix

I had this happen to mine....easy fix, you'll love it. all it is built built up carbon residue (or something like that) it takes about 30 minutes for the shop to fix. using wd-40 will do nothing for it, i tried that first too.

Re: sticking gas pedal

The Pathfinders suffer from the same problem. Check the Pathfinder forum. You need to remove an air duct/Hose and clean around the butterfly with carb cleaner. Check the forum there is a good explanation with pictures.
