Question Snow in august??

Im in the middle of restoring 2 vintage snowmobiles, a 1971 polaris colt 340, and a 1972 ski-doo elan. The thing is is that the ski-doo has a crack about 1 1/2 feet long, right in the middle of the hood. Its not preety. The hood is of weak and cheap plastic, so plastic welding it together would pose a problem i think, and fiberglass wont stick to it. The price of another hood would range from $200-$500, depending on the condition. I dont have that type of cash right now. So i was wondering if i should go along with the plastic weld and hope that it works or what?

Wrong hemisphere. It actually is a bit unusual to have snow this early even as far north as grib is. This might actually be better suited to the fabrication forum, too.

How is it the 'wrong' hemisphere when no hemisphere was specified?
