528i Front Bumper Problems

I seem to be constantly hanging that plastic front "bumper" on curbs, etc. in head-in parking. The bumper then rips itself away from the body when I back out of the parking space.

QUESTION 1: Can these be reattached or must they be replaced?

QUESTION 2: If they can be reattached, can it be done at home or is it something that requires repair shop expertise?

Hey carney,
- Is it a factory standard front bumper?
- HAve you recently lowered your suspension because the 5 series factory standard bumper is made to accomodate everyday curbs.
- you could reattach them but a lot of work will be required depnding on the gravity of the tear.
